Val’s Keys of Life

The morning of New Year’s Eve 2020, I started to reflect on how one year ends and a new one begins. Goals and new opportunities were on my mind and I began researching ways to achieve them. I talked to close friends for encouragement, read books on therapy education and purged old items around the house. The repetitive theme kept coming to mind of the joys and challenges that I want to carry over and the lessons learned. During this time, I envisioned myself obtaining my goals. There were two questions that I proposed to myself.

“How well did I Maintain My Sexy?” Recognizing the accomplishments and disappointments no matter how great or small.

  • Acknowledging and celebrate the wins
  • Being aware and honest about the challenges
  • Develop a plan to level up the victories, make the sacrifice and master the challenges

“How will I Maintain My Sexy?” What steps should I take to enhance my Sexy mind body and soul? With a new year comes a new birthday (more reflection).

  • Set quarterly goals—Take life in small chunks. Better to savor and digest. Enjoy every moment. Avoid becoming overwhelmed with the challenges.
  • To be open to accepting new possibilities. Do the research but don’t over think it. Think too long, you think wrong.
  • Build a support group. Link up with liked minded individuals who will keep you accountable.
